### Pavement Sealants

Soy-containing pavement sealants eliminate the need for coal tar pavement sealers which contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). [According to the EPA](https://www3.epa.gov/caddis/ssr_urb_wsq4.html), PAHS are common pollutants in urban streams and many studies show their negative impacts.

The 77 farmer-directors of the United Soybean Board (USB) oversee the investments of the soy checkoff to maximize profit opportunities for all U.S. soybean farmers. These volunteers invest and leverage checkoff funds to build preference for U.S. soy by addressing and meeting end-users’ needs, specifically in the areas of meal, oil and sustainability.
